JCFS Chicago Annual Meeting - Year in Review
JCFS Chicago board members, employees and community partners gathered on September 11 in our new downtown Chicago office (230 W. Monroe) for the 2023 JCFS Annual Meeting. Everyone enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres before the meeting, which included a program celebrating the past year’s achievements and acknowledging those who have contributed to our success. Some highlights of the evening include:
- We honored JCC Chicago as our 2023 Community Partner of the Year. Rachel Schwartz, Director of Social Services, accepted the honor on behalf of JCC Chicago. We are so grateful for JCC Chicago’s collaboration, expertise and commitment to the well-being of our community.
- Our Access intake team received the Elaine Schwartz Impact Award for its exemplary customer service, which is both efficient and impactful. Access recently created a Master Resources List, which has been a tremendous asset to the entire agency.
- We acknowledged our partners at Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and are deeply appreciative of their continuous and unwavering support. Deborah Schrayer Karmin, Health and Human Services Commission Co-Chair, spoke on behalf of JUF.
- Every year we recognize a board member who has gone “above and beyond” for the board and the entire JCFS community. This year’s recipient of the Above and Beyond Award is Todd Grayson, honored for his enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and readiness to volunteer.
