The most important part of my job is getting to know the kids for who they are. Everyone comes with their own story.
We help children and families manage the joys and challenges of growing up.
Having children can be the most rewarding–and challenging–experience. We watch from their first steps to their teenage years, hoping our kids grow up healthy and happy. So when your child is experiencing social, developmental or emotional difficulties, it can feel overwhelming for the whole family.
Our supportive services and resources for children include:
- Special education
- Behavioral support
- Counseling
- Psychological testing & assessment
- Social and recreational opportunities
Therapeutic resources for all children of all ages.
Our experienced social workers and counselors evaluate and treat using a variety of therapies, including developmental therapy, speech and language therapy, social work and social skills development.
We not only work with young children but also teens and their families who may be coping with a range of concerns, from depression and parent-teen communication to questions about sexuality and relationship issues.
We also offer recreational and social opportunities year round, from weekly groups to weekend retreats for budding leaders.
Whatever you or your family is facing, JCFS is here to offer support, guidance, and compassion to help you through.
