Adolescence is one of the most transformative periods in our lives. Existing research on this stage of our lives has never been more descriptive and plentiful. This presentation will provide a useful conceptualization of the three stages of adolescent development by briefly reviewing clinical considerations, neuroscience, and empirical research. We’ll consider identity, separation, attachments, and repairs as clinical areas of focus when working with teens who are struggling with relationships, school issues, and family.
