Refugees Need Your Help

Co-sponsorship is critical in helping refugee newcomers make a safe and successful transition to their new homes. It is an opportunity for HIAS to work in partnership with individuals, faith groups, organizations, community groups, to ensure that each family’s needs are met, that their integration into their new community goes smoothly, and that they are on their way to self-sufficiency. Please consider forming a team to co-sponsor a family!

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF CO-SPONSORS?

We ask that each co-sponsor:

1. Raise funds for the HIAS Welcome Campaign. 
2. Set up assigned family’s apartment prior to arrival.
3. Mentor assigned family for 6 months post-arrival.

WHY CO-SPONSOR A FAMILY WITH HIAS?

HIAS Immigration & Citizenship has been resettling newcomers of all backgrounds and faiths for over 110 years. We want to create a movement of welcoming inspired by Jewish values, as well as the history and experiences of refugees who came before us.
