Information and Assistance


Social workers at Jewish Child and Family Services (JCFS) and CJE SeniorLife (CJE) can help individuals learn about and access many community organizations, services and resources available for people in unique situations.

Resource Library


Located in our Skokie office, the resource library has over 300 books, pamphlets and web-links providing information about illness, medical organizations and spiritual resources. Materials can be borrowed by professionals and community members. Our selection includes both Jewish and general interest topics. Please contact us to arange a visit, to borrow books or if you would like a copy of our bibliography. A listing of reference categories is below.

Our Skokie Resource Center has articles (files) on a variety of topics including disease and illness, alternative medicine, the elderly, counseling, mental illness, medication and much more. Please contact us if you would like to peruse our information files.

Hospital Prayer Pamphlets


JHNC publishes pamphlets of Jewish prayers and psalms that for use by hospital patients and their families. They are available in hospitals throughout the Chicago area. Please contact us if you would like a copy sent to you.
