Housed in JVS Chicago, and funded by an endowment made possible by the Duman family, the Duman Entrepreneurship Center supports aspiring entrepreneurs by connecting small business owners with advisors, mentors, training, and low-cost loans. Duman Center loan clients include independent clothing stores, coffee roasters, dog boarding facilities, juice kiosks, food services, toy developers, jewelry designers, healthcare providers, photographers, and artists.
Since its inception, the Duman Entrepreneurship Center has invested millions of dollars to assist aspiring entrepreneurs and growing businesses. The program provides guidance and support on how to launch a startup, and helps established businesses through our Accelerator and mentorship programs. Through the our loan fund, qualifying entrepreneurs can access low-cost startup capital up to $15,000 repayable over a three-year term.
In order to be considered for a loan, applicants must have a completed business plan, twelve months of cash flow projections and relevant business experience. Our business analysts can help walk you through the process and determine if you meet our loan fund criteria. Once approved, these loans may be used for either fixed asset financing or for working capital.
